Ryan Adams LP Gold...Favorite cuts are
"New York New York"
"La Cienega Just Smiled"
"When the Stars Go Blue"
He is able to change his style from song to song. Some times he sounds a lot like Dylan to me.
Dave Brubeck's "Time Out" Never gets old.
The Clash "London Calling" and "Give then enough rope"
Sarah Vaughan "After Hours with "
and then........drum roll......
The Ames Brothers "Destination Moon" One of my all time favorite records. Its just the atomic late 1950's at its best and boy can they harmonize! Youy CAN NOT feel down after hearing this record.

My son is totally into machine head we listened to it the other night before watching Iron Man 2. Was hoping for it to be better. Not as good as the first movie IMO.
Dark side of the moon is one of the few LP's that rattles all the glassware in the house. The 180 gram version I have is amazing sounding although I think the heavy vinyl version of Supertramp Crime of the century is one of the better recordings I own. The bass line on Donald Fegan's Morph the Cat is mesmorizing if you have never heard it.
As far as Diana Krall goes there are few female vocalists I don't like. Early Carol King the Tapestry LP is outstanding work and her voice although rough was still strong back then. I will even suffer through Linda Ronstadt although I am of fond of her music.

Aesthetics of Hate is an awesome track...

I've got a few DVD-A discs which are a real improvement over the redbook counterpart. Björk's 'Vespertine' is tremendous. George Strait's 'Honkytonkville' is also very good. I've got a few Mötorhead discs as well which are nice to have but the sound quality is not all that great.
The Rolling Stones Abco reissues on SACD are nice too.
The current wave of 180g reissues are great but they are consistently raising the prices on them. The Mastodon 'Crack the Skye' 180g Deluxe edition was like $45+. Fantastic album, crazy price. I just got a call from my local shop that they got a bunch of Tom Waits 180g reissues as well. There is no end to this pursuit.
