Default Couple questions

Happy New Year Everybody - I just purchased a 2011 Turbo S and needless to say I am in love.
Couple questions - what is the best replacement clear side marker? some posts mentioned that some of the markers trip the computer - I like the clear lens look that shows as little orange from the bulb as possible.
Back of the seat - did anybody ever figure out a good way to touch up the silver hard plastic of the back of the seats? mine is a little scuffed from previous owner.

By the way - if this is the wrong area to post (since it is performance) - please let me know - I did not see a mod section for the cars - and the general discussion seemed very dead.

PS - I have more questions - so please let me know who are the guys that tend to have all the answers and know these cars inside and out - usually every forum has them. thanks so much for your help.

Congrats on your new car! I would recommend getting your clear side markers from Suncoast. That's where I got mine for my 997.1tt

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PKCLEAR997.html

I then got a set of canbus 5000k white LED bulbs for the new clear side markers. No errors on the computer.

If you want to compare prices on the markers, contact Luke at Sunset Porsche (west coast). They are very competitive on OEM parts.

FYI I recently bought LED bulbs for the side markers at a local auto parts place (for my 997.1 TT), and (a) they stay on for a while even when the car is parked, and (b) I get a warning every time I turn the lights on or use the turn signal. I got some regular bulbs to replace them but haven't installed yet. Suncoast or Sunset for OEM clear side markers, to answer your question.

I have found the LED bulbs used on the side markers will stay on for a bit longer but they usually go out after 30 seconds or so.

To avoid getting bulb out warnings when using LED bulbs I got CANBUS specific LED bulbs. So far I haven't had any issues using them in my 997.
