I'm currently in the market for a 997 Turbo S to be my new daily driver. Was looking around and stumbled across a 2013 model year, up until today I was under the impression 2012 was the last year. Does anyone know how many 13's were made and if they get any type of premium on the second hand market?
The 991's came out in 2012. Which is why I assumed 12 was the last year for the 997 turbo as they tend overlap the special models (turbo/GT models) with the first year of production of the next gen cars. For example there were 05 996 turbos when 997 Carreras were out.
But I guess with the 997 there was 2 years of overlap as there were a few 13 Turbos
Thanks for the links, that 2013 is actually the exact one I was looking at. Don't love the spec, no sport seats and no centerlocks, but love the mileage .

My 2012 TTS has center locks, but I'd gladly have the 5-lug version. Just me, but the C/L wheels if not careful, can lead to issues if not replaced properly. I feel they're over-rated and a PIA... I'm an hour and half from Greenville if you're interested in me looking over this car...PM me. JB
Sorry, I thought it was Greenville, but I see it's Greensboro...closer to 3.5 hours...my bad.

Hahaha thanks for the offer. The 5 lugs are Deff more practical and prob the smart move being as it's a daily driver, but I've always liked the look of the centerlock wheels.

Me too and still love the look. Until I did a wheel swap a few times, I never gave it much thought. Of course I'm accustomed to using my pneumatic tools on conventional lugs. I guess it's just the price we pay for "the look." However, I'd jump on the car listed in Greensboro in a split- second (if I could get the price down closer to $108K to $110K)
Good luck with your search and keep us posted. JB
FYI... I was looking for a Turbo S also, 18 or so months ago and wouldn't have compromised on the seats. Some cars came SO CLOSE to working for me but they didn't have the seats or the Sirius radio. Or the centerlock wheels. I would only buy a car with these wheels.
After trying to keep them clean for a year, I'm almost regretting that part of the decision but I MUCH prefer the look to the much easier to clean non-centerlock wheels. It's crazy hard to clean these wheels even using a woolie - a total PITA. But when they are cleaned, I adore the look.
I'm not a DIY'er so I could care less how hard it is to get the wheels off but cleaning them, that is tough. I rarely drive it in dirty weather so they mostly look great most of the time. Good luck! This was a significant upgrade over my 96 C4S. Day and night. And not having to shift all day long anymore in bumper to bumper traffic here in DC, fantastic. I paid $110k for an 8000 mile car, $10k above my comfortable budget. In the end, I'm glad I did. None of the other cars I looked at for 4 months of daily searching were right.
It really comes down to which will take my trade in at a better price. I hope the TTS isn't completely useless in the snow, as it will be seeing some. I currently have a 997.2 Targa 4S which is ok up to about 3 inches. As long as the TTS could handle that I'm ok.
My trade in though is a Bentley Continental which was an absolute monster in the snow, 6-7 inches no problem, and one of the most reliable cars I ever owned, personally put 68k daily miles on it with not one single hiccup. Great car!

Nice car and great price. I'm not a fan of black wheels but obviously you are so that's not an issue. Good luck! Or ... keep looking if neither of these work for you. I wouldn't jump into either car unless you can't imagine life with one of these and you dream about them at night.

Looks like the white car has the adaptive seats you wanted...plus the aero rear spoiler (sweet). If you don't care for the black wheels, silver versions can be purchased used for $3K to $3.5K. I do like white car...but the gray one is nice too... These are terrible decisions to have to make..LoL.

Wonder who the "celebrity" is?? Might help knowing to discuss discount
Porsche North Houston had a silver 2011 TTS for 90k I believe (maybe less). I don't know if it has sold yet. You may want to email Gerald Tito (gtito@porsheofnorthhouston.com).
I bought one like the white one - 2013 TTS, it was certified pre-owned and had 22k miles. I daily drive it. No issues. Love the car. We don't have snow here in Houston but plenty of rain. It has the painted chin spoiler as well, which I could do without. I like the black RS spyder wheels.
