Congrats- that is a beautiful car! When I owned a 356 I saw a couple of the Meissen Blue cars at the 356 gatherings, it was a stunning color in person.

Thank you.

I have always been an admirer of VW beetles with this color. But I never knew the name of the paint. All I know is that they look like the old metal medical tray my mother used to have in her clinic.

I have never seen it on a 356. But of course, my father can only afford a VW so we had a number different VW Beetles and brazilias in our house when I was growing up.

And now, what better way to own it in a Porsche 911 Turbo!

The blue is pleasant.
The blue with orange is SPECTACULAR. What's not to like?

If this was a Gulf Blue, I am sure to have placed orange stripes/liveries.
I just decided to be true to its origin, like the 356.

But Gulf liveries would be my second choice.

Curved stripes as in your first set of pictures but leave the numbers off!

Bought 21 cans of plasti dip Gulf Blue, 3 cans of the Orange color, 3 cans of black(wheels) and a Trump stencil decal for the rear. "I don't like the Turbo stencil this I tell you". " People will love me with this color I must tell you".

Anything unusual is cool to me. When I saw an orange 997 Turbo years back in Bethesda MD I couldn't stop staring as it cruised down the road in front of me. At that moment, I thought - "I have got to get one of those cars one day and sell my beloved 96 C4S to do it".

I didn't get the orange one as it's too wild for me so silver filled the bill instead. This light blue would have been in my garage for sure if it had been for sale when I was looking about a year ago. It's brilliant and so rare.
There's a gulf blue GT3 local to you in MD Steve. It's really cool in person. It was actually a mistake originally as it was supposed to be GOLF blue and porsche screwed up. Owner waited the better part of 2 years to finally get a light blue instead of a midnight blue car that he ordered.

BTW congrats on the purchase THX. Cool looking turbo! I love nontraditional colors on them which is why it took me almost a year to find a red one.

Color is very close to the GT3. I hope to get it by next week. Will keep it forever.
