If it is for sale, I'm selling my house and moving into that blue car. I would never consider sullying it with any orange stripes or anything else. It's perfect just the way it is. Just sayin'.
The car was recently traded in a US dealer. Never listed publicly for sale I am hoping by tomorrow, it would have my name on it.

That would be a very smart buy. If you don't buy it, I would be selling body parts to get that car .

Liveries are not for everybody. I did not have my GT3 have one as I like a clean look.

But this is a Gulf blue PTS. Why do a Gulf blue if you do not plan to do the liveries.

From what I know, Gulf blue is only allowed 1 car model per year. It was actually stopped a few years back.

There are only 5-6 colors in the PTS that is part of Porches racing heritage, one of them is this gulf blue.

The rest are just expensive paint.

People may hate it or love it. This is for my driving events.

Btw, I learned recently, a lot of gulf blue cars out there are wrapped. There are mustangs, GT40, ect. This is a real paint job. It maybe fitting to honor the Porsches racing winning heritage by doing such.

I don't know, I am still finding a good company to do it, don't want them to mess my paint.

would surely let you know if it does not go thru. Better to have someone here take it , and not another collector who does not drive it and leave it with his 3 918's and 2 GT3RS's.

I got the paint code from the dealer. With the help of "lessthan3mph," he was able to tell me the real paint color. Its not Gulf blue but Meissen blue. I now like it more. Its a 1950 heritage color where the gulf blue is a 1960's color.
It stays what it is, no liveries.

Still, some will like it, some will hate it.

A link to other cars with thesame color:

Obsessed with that blue color. Love this thread. It's a history of that light blue. In the end, it's a light blue 997 Turbo with black wheels and if I saw it on the street I'd be drooling. Anything unusual is cool to me. When I saw an orange 997 Turbo years back in Bethesda MD I couldn't stop staring as it cruised down the road in front of me. At that moment, I thought - "I have got to get one of those cars one day and sell my beloved 96 C4S to do it".

I didn't get the orange one as it's too wild for me so silver filled the bill instead. This light blue would have been in my garage for sure if it had been for sale when I was looking about a year ago. It's brilliant and so rare.
