Default WTB: 997.1 TT Red / Black / 6-speed

All, in the market to replace our beloved turbo that was totaled recently.

Looking for:
Coupe only
Guards Red Exterior
Black interior (might do the 2 tone gray but not light gray)
6 speed
Sport Chrono
35k miles or less

Sadly, Roy's car in ATL would have been perfect for us but I just missed it working through the claims process on our current car.

I do realize that Alex's NJ car is out there and meets these requirements, but I've decided it's a little too over the top for something my wife will be enjoying on nice days. I'd have to un-do quite a few of the mods on that car which command a premium meaning I'm over-paying to take parts off...not the ideal situation

**May consider white or Meteor again if we haven't found the right car within a couple of months.**

Modifications are OK as long a they are minimal, honestly I have all of the modifications from our old car so I'm going to have a hard time paying for mods again to take them off and sell.

Appreciate a heads up if anyone comes across the right car. Searching the usual channels as well as Manheim regularly.

Thanks,

Best of luck in your search and will keep my eyes open. GR + BLK is a great combo, but perhaps I'm biased!

yeah that gray isn't the best. Also the steering wheel looks like a 996, but those things can be changed for some $. I'm such a huge fan of GR, wonderful porsche color. Seems that Red/Black is very hard to come by, probably because most people don't want to give them up.

Talk to me in April if still in the hunt?
Would look good next to your 996 GT3

Two tone interior is one thing that really sold me on this car.
All black is too much for my tastes.

Cheers

Bump....still looking.

I really appreciate those of you who have reached out with possible candidates, just haven't quite found the right one yet.

I started considering 3.8 / PDK cars. Drove a couple they are nice but I just don't think that I can do it. My heart tells me the Mezger / 6-speed combo is still the way to go.

Bump. I'm open to .2 cars as well given the fact the price gap between .1 and .2 is getting smaller every day.

Must be Red exterior / black interior.

must be 30k miles or less

must be no stories / no paint

obviously I'm now considering PDK if everything else is right on the car.

You really, really must love red a lot if you would consider an automatic DFI turbo instead of a mezger manual in an other color.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I've already got one Mezger / Manual that is my toy and driven regularly where it's supposed to live...on the track. While I'd love to have a second one the turbo will serve as my wife's daily driver. She's not as hard nosed as me when it comes to needing a race bred motor in her street car getting her to work and back. It needs to be fast and meet her color needs while still being entertaining for me when I drive it on the weekends. Dare I say as much as I'm anti PDK it might be the better solution for this use case.

Still going to do everything in my power to hold out for a .1...but I'm opening up the possibilities of a .2

I loved our Meteor car...but that chapter in our book ended in a crumpled mess thanks to a careless driver taking her out. She'd rather close the book on that chapter including the color and move onto the next.
