Default bbi inconel exhaust manifolds

I can't find any info on these. Has anyone got these? Would they provide any benefit on a car that has an exhaust and tune only?

Sound difference. HP gains will be minimal. Intercoolers would be a better bang for the buck for power and reliability

No need to be short with 931rx7, his comments are spot on for headers on a street car. Although, your car already has the upgraded factory ICs, minimal benefit. People who've bought inconel bbi headers could probably be counted on one hand, so waiting for an actual customer might take some time, so why not welcome any and all comments?

Because it's more fun to start a 10 page thread with arguing and ill-conceived logic. I'm out of this one before it turns into exhaust part deux.

That wasn't my intention to be short. I just wanted to see people's views who have done the mod. Aren't headers a popular mod on this car? I'm surprised so few people would get these.

I was interested mostly in the throttle response upgrade to this. Anything that improves throttle response on this car is a plus for me.

Look forward to the post to come. Interesting topic as, Klein, kinda stole or created the Inconel market.

This alloy has some very interesting properties with temperature and density.

The factory headers are very good. Will support 700HP if ported and cleaned up.

The factory steel headers have been proven on the 996TT platform, they rarely crack.

They just look so horrible though so I'm surprised of this lol.

I ran headers on my 991S, and I doubt I had a measurable performance bump, but the sound was glorious. But I also picked them up for $1,700... I wouldn't spend more money on that.

Isn't there a difference between .1 & .2 header design? Are we talking about .2 headers able to hold 700HP to the crank with just a P&P job?

The headers are different in terms of fitment. However, the design and function is still the same. 700HP is fact.. One thing that many are overlooking. For a turbo, we want to keep the HEAT exhaust energy inside the SHORTEST primary piping. The factory headers are insulated/double jacketed. The shortest route from the exhaust valve to the turbine wheel wins for a street driven VNT turbocharged engine. Removing the internal weld by 80% improves flow by 25% with these factory headers. I posted a DIY many years ago.

Guys don't pass on the factory materials.. Inconel (high nickel content) is a great metal. So is the Porsche German steel that has high levels of nickel and other blends.

I started another thread on this. It seems on the .1 a header upgrade doesn't do much. Seems the mezger headers were better than the DFI. Apparently on the DFI motor the headers are crap. Plus as far as shortest route from exhaust valve turbine wheel would intact be these bbi headers.

The OEM has unnecessary bends it looks like, while the bbi ones are just almost a straight line. I think that is why the headers create a large increase in throttle response and power gains on the .2.

You bought everything else they sell practically for power mods. I'm sure they would give you a good deal on the headers. Might as well complete the set.
