Default 997.7 Internals and power levels.

Hi,

Just been doing some research. Love my car. Just more curious

What have people made in terms of power on the dyno with stock internals? Looking for real world results.

Are the factory pistons forged?
What about the rods? What kind of power can they hold?
What about the hardware such as the bolts holding the motor together?

The engine case is similar in design as the 964 engine. Same thru studs.

The rods are always the weak link. 700-750 crank HP is typically the tipping point. Porsche did add a second oil squirter to cool the piston. Pistons are Mahle castings, not an issue.

So the pistons are capable of more than 700 Crank HP but the rods are not?

Ok, thanks
