I have bbi and love it. Couldn't have asked for a better sounding exhaust. It's pretty loud, very little drone. mine is chipped as well, there are a lot of tuners in the NY/NJ area so you shouldn't have a shortage. Mine was chipped prior to purchase out of state, but i'm sure someone has some local recommendations.
here are some clips, good luck with your decision

FVD has an amazing sound at idle and when you put the right foot down...truly amazing sound. Never gets old. If you have some extra cash get the blue flamed Ti Tips with it...

I did the ep2 on my 09tt cab. Sounds awesome especially with the top down. I had some concerns before buying it that it might be too loud or droney but after driving it for 6 months now I think it's just perfect. I don't have any sound clips available but if you would like, pm me and I can record one.

there's an excellent youtube video review of the europipe that was posted recently. it's got x-ray's of the internals and everything LOL!!
all joking aside, do a search and you'll find all you could ever want to know about the world of AM exhausts for the 997.1 turbo. just fair warning, but as sure as the sky is blue, this thread has a very high probability of eroding into another "mine's better than yours" mess.

The best sounding exhaust I have heard on a 997 TT is the BBI. That is of course if you want a more aggressive sound. I haven't heard the FVD or the Protomotive but know that Todd makes good stuff and so does FVD.
Many folks have the EP and are very happy with it.
If you want loud and aggressive to compete with the R8 get the BBI. Great guys at BBI and they make quality stuff.
As far as mods go I would get an ECU tune. This with the exhaust will transform your car. Many good companies out there.. Softronic, Protomotive, Giac and many others. Also I would consider lowering the car (H & R, CMG springs) and adding sway bars and a GT3 alignment. You may want to consider a clutch upgrade with the tune. Although I have been driving my tuned TT for 3 years with the stock clutch and it still holds.
Please do not fall for BMC air filters or plenums and GT3 throttle bodies. A total waste of money. The exhaust and tune and a little suspension works is all you need to make you happy for a very long time.
Good luck!
