Check your PM - it's not an even swap, as these require a little more work for us to produce.

Here are a couple of recent customer supplied videos, a 997.1TT catless and a 997.2TT catted. They give a good idea of the sound characteristics of a full 3" catless system (loud/raw) vs. catted (more refined):

:-) These are new arrivals - yours are already on the bench and in line, awaiting their turn for fabrication

This system has a crazy exotic sound that has to be heard in person to truly get the full scope as to how awesome it is. Also one of the few exhausts out there for the 997.1 TT to make really big power with a custom tune. Very happy with mine.

Support from John is awesome as well! 😎

Hey, Cosmo! Thanks for that feedback. I, like so many, listened to many clips online, tried to hear many in person, and read as many reviews written as possible before making my decision. You and I seem to be in the minority by not having either and EP1 or EP2, but the Speedtech seems to check all the right boxes for me. Plus I am originally from NH so supporting a business located there was also part of my decision process and John has been beyond accommodating during the process- more to come on that later after the install and write-up. Your post here has given me evermore confidence that I will enjoy the new exhaust, so thank you.

Thanks for the support, Dan AND ECB!

If you are in the minority, it's a huge minority- we have sold an enormous amount of 997TT SpeedTech Exhausts to the Forum community and received a lot of fantastic feedback. I have heard them all and am very confident you will be extremely pleased - numerous customers have called or emailed just to say how it exceeded their expectations!

I am confident I will like the system and these comments make me feel even better. I do feel like we are in the minority, no matter how small or large it might be. There seems to be such biased for a Turbo having PCCBs, Adaptive Sport Seats and Europipe. Without those it is just another 911 pretending to be a 911 Turbo. I can understand why some might want those options and the value they bring, including a Europipe, but my recipe was simple- coupe, Sport Chrono (since I will probably never tune the car) and 6-speed. Everything else was not overly relevant.
Anyway, they are all amazing cars and I'm looking forward to the transformation with the new exhaust.
This community has been amazing and I have leaned a lot over the past couple of years!

I love the sound of my SpeedTech 3" X-pipe although I still have the oem cats...will eventually move to the 200 cel cats but mostly so I can see what the stage 2 Cobb tune feels like...my exhaust sounds pretty great to me already.

Here is my journal entry when I was playing around with some new audio equipment testing out the exhaust. The mic is on the back of the car, not in the car - https://911maniac.com/2020/03/31/exh...d-19-cruising/.

Direct link to the video -

There is a nighttime time lapse in the middle of the video for a minute or so because the my audio was bad, but more sounds of the exhaust at the end again once I figured out the clipping problem.
