Took my turbo to the Pocono track.
I took my 997.1 turbo to HPDE event at the Pocono Raceway well known by NASCAR track. This event was organized by Audi club and the track configuration was great for high powered cars as the course was the NASCAR Tri-Oval with in-field passing like Rorex24 race at Daytona. I had a great time and experience especially with my two GTR friends. I will post couple youtube videos later as I don't have access to it right now at work.
Car ran and felt great at the track with my newly mounted Michelin Sport Cup tires. They grip so nicely and I barely heard any tire skid noise. Maybe I didn't push hard enough. At the front and back stretches, I hit 158mph. I could go faster but I stopped there because it was almost redline at 5th gear and not worth to shift into 6th gear before braking.
I love my car more after the event. It is perfect reliable driving machine without any worries. Oh, I hit the 70k miles while I was driving at the track so I missed exact 70,000 mile mark.
Few pics from the track.
70k healthy miles!
This bueatiful GT2 from TPC Racing was there too. Very nice car!

That looks pretty sweet! Thanks for sharing. I did my first track day on the North course at Pocono in a 944 Turbo a long time ago. Was hooked on the spot. There are a few technical corners in the infield and even though it may not be as exciting track to drive as the Glenn or VIR, you learn so much.

Nice looking car, is that Arctic silver or GT? Looks Arctic.
Sport cups being a dot-r tire, won't squeal like a regular road tire will.
I know that GT2, fast car & driver.

Silver997tt, I was supposed to make this one but could not clear my schedule for that friday. It would have been nice to see another 977 on the course. Great pics, car looks awesome

Now that looks like a BLAST! Tx for posting. I just never really think of our TT's as track cars but you are showing be wrong, especially on a track that you can hit 150mph+ on. What do you think 6th gear could have done?

Are you talking about the driving direction?
He did pretty well infield but as soon as came out of the field I pulled him away so easy.
