Default Sellers remorse?

I have a buddy (who bought a car from me previously) flying down tomorrow to look at my 07 tt. I love the car and consider it family so am starting to think I'm going to have a hard time letting it go. The offer is in the low 90s right now but I'm not 100% convinced I want to sell. Have anyone ever sold their turbo and had sellers remorse? Even now, I find myself looking at turbo S as a replacement.

90s for an 07? Sell, sell, sell!

Seller's remorse? Ask Chris (TT Surgeon).

Yes !
End of 2008 I sold my '07 turbo I bought new. After 3 years I had an other one.
Used but as good as new. I even prefer it over the one I configured myself so I am happy how it turned out.

I sold my '89 911 Turbo Cab last September and have been kicking myself ever since (it doesn't help that the car is worth quite a bit more now than when I sold it). Low mileage examples in mint condition are harder to replace than the modern turbos.

That said, you have someone who is willing to offer you more than a fair price for your car (plus you have plenty of replacement options). Therefore I would tend to agree with all those who suggested to sell it. However only you can make that decision . . . which is difficult, especially when you are personally attached to the car.

Low 90's for a modes 07? Are you sure he's not pulling your leg? I'd pin him down, by at least taking some money off him and then decide….not that there is much to think about.

I'm positive. I sold him my old x5 and he's flying down today to check it out.

Been thinking that... but what's the diff between an 07 and 09 other than the PCM? My turbo is highly optioned (GT silver, PCCB, <10k miles, yellow stitching, TA kit, GMG exhaust, etc). I think if I were to find an 09 similarly optioned I'd be spending more money to get it back to the way my car sits now

Sean, great points and that's exactly what I'm dealing with. sell now and wait a year to get a newer model Turbo S... or just keep this one. The 07 was/is a gem when I bought it (no stage 2 overrevs and overall mint) but the price is good.

Denis, glad it all worked out I may be in the same boat soon

Chris, so you are or aren't selling? Or just waiting for the right price point?

Here's a recent pic

In the end - it is just a car.

I am driving my 2007 Z4 3.0si Coupe more than my manual 575hp 997TT, because less hassle and I can use the whole rev range of Z4, I can really wring it out without being scared to lose my licence, plus it is only 1400kg!

I still have 997T, but I drive it maybe once a week for 40 miles, just to keep it in shape. Selling is (currently) not an option as that would be lots of money thrown out of the window.

If I had to choose now though, I'd go for 997.2 GT3 instead of Turbo (and that even though I live 50 miles away from unlimited German Autobahn.)

Sometimes less is more, at least that is how I see it now.

I traded my 2008 MB CLK63 Black Series for my 07 TT and have regretted that trade ever since. I love my TT and it's now reaching the personal preference/mod point that it would be foolish to sell it. But, if I was offered $90K for it I wouldn't look back. I would quickly replace it with another BS or a nicely equipped 09 coupe with a manual. IMO both are future collectibles and will hold their value if not increase over time.

Understood. My dilemna now is I'm pretty happy with the TT so if I sell this... I can see myself just getting another one (turbo S)

Agreed... I think with the 991tts coming in at close to $200K, I can see the 997tt's value stay put or maybe even go up some

You won't see values going up unless 991TTs started exploding (like 991 GT3s)
