I was almost killed attempting to merge onto the highway. Absolutely no power in that thing. My heart was in my gut, and I broke out in a cold sweat. Stay away from the Prius!

DO NOT trade your car for a Prius. Dealership dropped off a Prius a few weeks ago for me to drive while they took my car in for regular service. I jumped into the Prius, and headed to the highway. I was almost killed attempting to merge onto the highway. Absolutely no power in that thing. My heart was in my gut, and I broke out in a cold sweat. Stay away from the Prius!

My 09 came with a K40 Calibre detector installed. It has front and rear sensors plus laser (which I've been told isn't that good on my unit). I like that it runs off a small fob so it's completely invisible in the cockpit. Two small blue lights on either side of the instrument binnacle designate a front or rear signal, and it can be muted so you rely on just the lights. Does anyone have any persecutive on this units overall performance under real world conditions? Thanks for any insights. Bryan

Burning Brakes
I always hated them too but I recently acquired one and was surprised how un-Toyota like it feels. Slow? Yes of course but its a beater!! People who drive one most likely have fast cars as weekend/fun cars. Mine fills up with $20 and it lasts a lot saving me money for my other two toys
