That ain't bad. I pay a bit more, about $50, for my 996 Turbo's oil/filter service at the dealer.

The oil costs about $100 retail. The filter and washers are another $10. So you pay $100 in labor. If that's worth it to you then it's a good deal!

$200 isn't bad fr a dealer. I do mine at my friends house.. He has all the drums for recycling.. I do it this was because it's convenient..

Anyone who pays someone 100 dollars to change the oil is insane!!! Or just a lazy bastard like me who doesn't want to do it himself.

When I can, I do my own work including oil changes. It gives me a sense of satisfaction and gets me out of the daily BS...car lifts help. Oil changes are really easy on these.

Goozie remembers this one:

That's all you need to do to the car to get it ready for an oil change. No ramps, no lifts, no jacking it up.

And when you're done you know you had it warmed up, you waited until all the oil drained up, you have your sample ready to send for analysis, and she's full of fresh new oil. So you can enjoy her for a few more thousand miles
