I've heard both the good and the bad. For me any bad is not good. I will leave it there.

FVD's site shows exactly what comes in a stage 2. There is a tune, filter, exhaust etc….along with claims. From what I hear the people that sell it are really nice so I guess that counts for something.

Great spirited debate. To Phillips question the stage 3 included new turbos I think and I wonder if stage 2 does as well, I suspect not. I'm a little leery about changing turbos. Upgrading turbo cars with engine mgmt , intercoolers and exhaust upgrades can deliver big increases with usually little impact on drivability and reliability. When you start changing turbos it get more complicated with more downside I think. I'm really leaning toward an 11 TTS. Plenty of power in stock configuration, all that's required is more $$$, which always seems to be the case...

You are on the right track with TTS. With the other you will only wind up spending the $$$ at one point anyway and not necessarily getting what you were hoping for.... Plus it is an older car. The gen 2 TTS is a performance package and is the sum of its parts.

The customer supposedly did the work and then immediately decided to buy a Lambo, so sold the car. I agree the asking price is high, but I consider that a starting point for negotiations. I'm probably going to steer clear of the car. This purchase will be a long term keeper, so I'll probably do a service contract on it, which I can't do on this car. I jet spent some good seat time in an 08 turbo 6 speed and a 11 turbo S. The 08 was nice, but i have to admit I was hooked on the S. Asking prices are mostly in the high 120's but that has to be coming down. I may just try to wait until I can find a nice 2011-12 turbo S in the 110-115 range. Anyone want to venture a guess on how long that wait will be?
Now! or at least very soon. I am also looking at TTS's and am starting to see $110k's-120k's for the '11-'12 models. Good luck with your search. I bought my last 3 Porsches long distance and the find and buy process each time seemed to about 75% fun and 25% frustration.

I have one advantage Porsche 25th, I live in So Cal and for all it's faults it does have lots of great cars around for sale. If I were buying a newer car long distance is OK, but as they get older, a face to face visit is essential, along with a PPI.

0 Bids and overpriced I would pass on it.

Why Mod the car then sell it to many things don't add up but I am paranoid at times.

LOL almost bought the F430 with F1 until I priced the clutch last week.

flyjets, I jet sold a Ferrari and am returning to a Porsche, one of the primary reasons being the unbelievable costs associated with maintaining the cars properly. Porsches are expensive to maintain but Ferrari's are in a whole different class.

Bryan i have an FVD with 200 cell sport cats. and Evo headers. i couldnt be happier. theres a nice "howl" after 4k rpm. it does that backfire popping sound when getting off throttle, and the turbo whistle is almost always audible. great exhaust.

Steve k ny!

What do you think you are doing? Showing up here with actually owning the products??!! Are you sure you didn't "read" about the howl or the backfire popping? w/ the turbo spooling sound?

Wow... I'd love to see yours with the EVO headers next to a FVD Stage 2 w/o. Did you do it at the same time or separately?
