Door ding etiquette? Dinged in the VIR Porsche corral by a 997 TT
Oh well, it was almost a perfect day at… I got door dinged!
It happens, but please contact me about this.
WTF, the only the car was parked next another car (except Car & Coffee and that was next to the 935) was the XXXXXX. Really bro? Can’t believe a Porsche brother would do that and just leave…
**** Update *******
I've reached an agreement with the owner who dinged me. Thank you every one for your support

I am sorry dude...very uncool!
It can absolutely be fixed...no worries...however, it is in a bad spot as it is near the hemline. So take it to a really really good painless/dent remover or a very high dollar body shop They may have to drill a small hole in the door opening to get back there and tap it out, and then put a color matching plug in the hole.
GL!

that's a raw deal man, sorry to read it.......
I live in NC too and have never even seen a decent driver from the state
of Virginia......sounds harsh, but it's true......
they're easily indentifiable too with they're front plates and centro inspection sticker..
hope you get it fixed........on another note: that is A LOT of Porsche's!!!

What a maggot.
Id take it to a bodyshop see what they can do.
Forget about the 997TT guy as he is long gone and most likey a poser anyhow.
Sadly enough douche bags drive TTs too.

That sucks, and being a native Virginian I can agree that VA drivers suck. What can you really expect from a dude that still had that stupid dealership license plate frame on his car?

Had the same thing in same spot on my M3 and painless sent repair got it out easily. Took some time due to location but was done well with no evidence after repair. It sucks the guy didn't man-up and offer to pay. It's not that expensive. Mine was $120 to repair.

At this stage, I'd just find a good dent guy and call it a day.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Makes me feel a little bit better.
I was worried it was too close to the door and that there's no room behind to access the crease.
It's 24 years old, with 150,000 miles, but it looks so good for what it is. I have hope now.
License Plate: XXXXXXXX

find his car in the P-club registry, and you find him. I absolutely would contact him and let him know that although he may not be aware of it, his car door dinged your car on "x" date. You may get nowhere, but at least you pass the karma on to him. Karma is a bitch.
