He at least should have left a note with phone number and name. Tough one, but you will get it fixed. Insurance should pay. I got backed into years ago with an older Mercedes and my insurance had then, "Parking Lot" coverage for people hitting you and not reporting. They paid the entire bill. Hope this works out for you.

Once the oil tank is removed access is very good.
But it might be even possible to do it all from the outside.
They use strong glue to pull it out.
But one thing is sure, it's a small issue. Nothing to stress (too much) about.
A good paintless dent repair guy performs wonders.
Good luck !

You have the plate, have it run...(might have to grease a palm) and then go to his home and take care of business, and bring the pics

Sorry for the bad luck- as far as price $40. You can ask a few dealerships locally for a dent guy suggestion. Most that are really good have a rotation of dealerships.

Dave the Dent man used brute strength and his tools when he'd fix my cars from lot dings, trades, customers such as yourself would need help etc. I bought my TT with a PITA ding on the rear arch- had to remove wheel/lining/induction piping etc. We got it no worries! He would tell you - let's look at it and see- a few mils one way or another can mean a easy fix or a tough fix.

GL!

Thats a real shame, I know how it is so annoying that it seems no one cares. The good news is a pintless ding repair can be done, which should not hurt the wallet. Sorry and understand your frustration

Agree, I had a nasty one on the left front fender where somebody smacked it, 165$ later, like it never happened. My experience with dings is unless you catch them in the act it's impossible to prove 100% this person did it.
Conversely, if somebody called me out if the blue saying I dinged their car, I'd be highly skeptical.

Call insurance and give them the pics with the license info. They are well aware of what to do next.
