Who highest Mileage 997.1 ?
Did a search and came up pretty empty,
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...bo-ebay-2.html
50k-62k a couple years ago, so where are people at today?
I am surprised at how little some people use their cars, I mean if you got it drive it/enjoy it right? No reason to have a high value garage queen when you die, the next guy will enjoy it or your wife will sell it for good money. He with the most miles wins, right?

My first, and favorite, one had 70k when I traded it in, bought it new I'm 07. Current owner has about 75k on it now.
I saw one on eBay with 89k miles!
Bought my current one with 3k miles, now 15k.

Nice.
I was curious as I was under the impression the 911 in general is a bullet proof car, and the mezger 997 turbos even more so (this comment is NOT intended to have 997.2 people defend the newer engine, I am sure it is brilliant and time will prove this). My assumptions of the 997.1 turbo being bullet proof came under question when I visited a few posts here about people complaining because they are finding used 07/08 with more than 20k miles... 20k!?!?! I did 20,000 miles on my lotus last year, and that ONLY goes to the race track (I do drive it to the tracks but still).
Why are so many people afraid of a Porsche with more than a few miles? It concerns me they all are trading hands around the 20k mile mark.

Mine has 44K on it. I bought it CPO in 2011 with 30K. Until recently, I thought I was dodging bullets, but a leaky front differential has (for the moment) dampened my enthusiasm. My '84 911 has seen more road time than the turbo this summer as a result. I am hoping that I get the turbo over the 136K I have on my old 911. $hit happens. I will fix the $hit when it does happen. Still a phenominal auto. At this point, not even tempted to look into a new 991 tt.
Bottom line is that I always chuckle at the guys who pride themselves on keeping the miles down on these cars. Dr. Ferdinand would as well, I think. I just read an article on AutoWeek about a guy who inherited a 1953 356 from his dad in 1968 and still has it and has 986K on it and is shooting for 1,000K soon on this car. That is what they are for. Like the mailman, rain, sun, snow. These are amazing cars that need to be enjoyed.

68K since I took new delivery Dec 2007.
Would have been more, but a cross country move and a new hip intervened.
Will try to do better.

What is the $ damage to fix that front diff? The moment it starts leaking is it done/parked or can you drive it as long as you top it off?
Nice! What problems have you had over the years?

Really good question- many here torture their cars on the track, but minimize miles. I have 31k on mine - bought it 11 months ago with 18k. I have owned many fine M and S German cars over the past 15 years, but none have reminded me of a fine piece of jewelry like this '08 tt. It really is remarkable how the shifts are knick-knick-knick and the door thumps, and the engine whirs perfectly. Not sure I will ever be able to sell it, like I usually do - although a lack of back seats or storage for trips is a minor irritation to my wife

Yeah, I think me and Chris (TTsurgeon) had two of the higher ones. I had 64K or 68K (i forgot) when I sold it 2 years ago.
I have put 50K on my VW Touareg in 18 months? does that count? LOL.

almost 62k on mine. Ive seen them on eBay with 80k+ miles. I have seen many 150k+ miles 996TT, there is a 200k 996TT on the market right now - and T2 on this forum has over 300k on his 996TT. There is no reason why a 997TT shouldnt be able to log the same kind of miles.

Three Wheelin'
Mine just turned to 26.000 kms (about 16000 ml).
I am not deliberately keeping the miles down. I drive it when I can. But this is a privately owned car and I have 2 more 'business' cars. And some more private cars and a bike. I can't drive them all.
So I drive the turbo when I can enjoy it the most and that works well for me.
Also I plan on keeping this car for a long long time. I am 48 now. If I do 4000 ml per year it should last me a lifetime.
Today I bought an other 'special' car to compliment the turbo so the coming years the turbo will be used even less. But I also enjoy the car looking at it so all is good
