3-5K per year is probably a reasonable number if you have a vehicle which is expected to appreciate in price. I can't see spending a 100k on a depreciating 911 and letting it sit in garage most of the week. To each his own. My 11 GTS is gonna see 30K soon and if I'm fortunate enough to get a 991 turbo, I'll drive it the same way.

I bought my Turbo to drive and enjoy. Track as much as possible. Don't care about resale value because I plan to keep it.

Also, my policy on warranty. Don't want it! Things go out, then it's an opportunity to replace with better modifications.
