Question New to the TURBO Forums

Hello,

My name is Alex A.

I am a new member to rennlist & a new member to the Porsche world.

I just purchased my first Porsche. 2008 Carrera white Turbo (tip).

I would like to know where I can gather information on modding the car?

Thank you all for your time & help, Alex

Welcome Alex! Good choice with the TT. And you should post some pictures of your car!

There are many old timers (not me!) on this forum that are experts and know all the "mods"...and some of them even live in your area!

Good luck...

Welcome to the zoo, now open your wallet and let out the dough.

What were you driving prior to the turbo?

Track/Street/Combo driving, or just knocking down I-95?

Let us know what you like/dislike about the car after driving it a bit, and I'm sure you'll hear from the gang.

Good luck and drive safe.

Thanks guys!

Eric,

I have owned a fully built S2000 & a mild built XKR.

Since I live in an area with not too much driving I don't want to get into the suspension aspect of modding.

I would like to get some power parts.

So far the car has a 600hp evoms kit, Fabspeed exhaust + bypass pipes & headers.

Looking to see what else I can do? Was looking into the 997.2 taillight conversion but I don't know if I should spend my money elsewhere.

Pics coming soon!

Hi Alex

I'm in Miami Beach,

You should go to Champion Motorsport and take a look of what they have.... it's only 40mn away from Miami (Pompano Beach)

Alex,

Welcome and you have very good taste in colors for the TT! (mine is black lol!)

Based on that you already have a tune and exhaust the next step would be bigger turbos and IC's.

You will give up quite bit of drivability and most of your power gains will come between 80 and 150 mph.. 0 to 60 times will not improve much from what you have now.

So you will have to weigh the risk reward/cash outlay to see if it's worth it. Of course Champion will say it is...They do great work but just be cautious...

Big ben wasnt kidding. Best option is stock. Lots of eye candy dont be fooled. Since you already have a tune and exhaust you cant do much more with stock turbos. Slippery slope with plenty of cash after that...

Thank you guys for the Intake reply.

I have a current problem with the car.
On the dash it keeps saying (TPC INACTIVE) with the red exclamation point as well.

What is this and why is it on?

Thank you!
