Help with DME report and purchase
I'm looking to purchase a 997.1TT from a dealership and attached is the DME report they sent me. It's for an 08 cab, 35k miles, CPO. What do you guys think? Both for the over revs and the price. Thanks in advance.

With very low range 4 and 0 range 5 and 6. I say you are good to go.
It even seems to have a low number of range 1's for 35k miles.
If it passes a PPI, I say buy it

+1, the DME looks good to me as well, but you'll get 10 different opinions on that DME
100% do a PPI. You may find things that may surprise you. For example you will find CPO cars that have had a repainted bumper or door which may not be disclosed unless you specifically ask. It may not impact your purchase decision but it's good to know this stuff
good luck

UT_farhan, I tend to be more conservative and would do a PPI despite CPO from a Porsche dealer. You can always negotiate the cost of the PPI into the deal if something comes up...

Never like to see range #4 (and above) over-revs. Good news is that the last #4 event happened 218 hours ago, or about 9,150 miles ago. Is the car chipped? Maybe that's why we are seeing the pings in range #3 and #4??

Question - My car is a TIP and therefore should have no over revs. However, if I manually shift using my "paddles" and take it to redline, will this be captured by the DME?

I have never heard of a TIP setting any levels. So I tend to think that just running into the rev limiter with the TIP does not even trip Level 1? (Now that I think about it, doesn't the TIP always upshift even when in "sport" or "manual" mode? Or does it actually hit the rev limiter and stay governed at that RPM?)

No issue at all with that report.
+- on the ppi, if they know u at the dealer, cpo, etc I wouldn't sweat it, I've seen stuff missed on ppi as well, mostly air cooled but still.
