Default Turbo spooling and psi

Like many of you I have noticed a quieting of the whoosh turbo shrill. With 40,000 miles is this the reason or does something need to be lubricated to enable more free spin.

Also, the psi tops at 15 where I used to observe 17 or 18.
What are your thoughts?

The turbine housing VNT drive servo/linkage might need to be lubed. Temperature and octane will also impact your boost.

Where is this found? And is this easy? I also only see 15 psi 55k miles.

Are you guys running 91 octane? I'll post a screenshot of my datalogger showing a linkage imbalance between the two turbochargers.

Was there not a Porsche TSB about this a couple years ago?

I remember taking mine in to the dealer for a lube.

baabearing, you are running 100 octane VP 109, Sunoco GT or Torco race gas?

And you are only seeing 15 psi?

Edit to ask what exhaust system do you have?

I am running 100 octane 260 Sunoco if im correct. Definitely not 104 or 109. Exhaust is FVD Brombacher with 200 cell cats.

I have owned the car since 49k and have always seen 15 psi and no more. Ever. Car seems to run strong, but I would be happy to know I can fix something to see more performance. I have a friend with a 09 997.1 with APR Flash that hits 17 psi with arrow.

Run some VP109, and report your findings.. Can you switch between programs?

What are you seeing for the street gas performance tune?

Where are you located? If the EGT Thermocoupler reads 970 degree your load/engine output is reduced. Do you have a datalogger to read your knock sensors and EGT?

I ran 93 for awhile. Still 15 psi even with the 93, yes I can switch programs. I am located in Annapolis, MD. I do not have any sort of data logger.

Any suggestions for data logging...or maybe someone local? TPC racing is local to me if that's any help in the right direction.

What are your thoughts?
If you have Sport Chrono you should get 10 seconds of overboost when you select Sport. Normal boost is 1 bar or 14.5 psi. That's all you get without Sport Chrono. With Sport Chrono overboost you should get 1.2 bar or 17.4 psi so if you have SC and all you're seeing is 15 psi, you should get it checked out.
