Alcantara seat center inserts were an option on an 09, I have them in mine.

but alcantara in the front and not in the rear? The car seems quite nice tho, bar the wheels. Deviated stitching and red seat belts are nice. Steering wheel is not original tho, there is some irregularity on the lower innner right side.

Rij you have done excellent research! Nice work. I am sure the right one will come along.

right now debating:

08, CPO @ Dealer 37k miles manual coupe @75k

10, no warranty, @ private seller, 58k miles PDK cab @75k


i've had a silver cab before, but the pdk would make it fun especially with sport chrono and all the fun extra's of the '10.

Daily cruiser or weekend track toy? Personally I have no use for a high power cab because it doesn't go as well as a coupe (heavier, slower, less safe) and I don't need power to enjoy a cab (wind in my hair, open element, etc.). If you intend to drive it at DE some orgs. don't allow cabs without a hardtop. If you intend to use it as both daily driver and weekend track toy I would recommend the coupe.

Hmmm... Sounds like a recommendation of someone who's never had a cab. I personally would find an 09 cab. There is nothing like driving with the top down. You'll get the great Mezger engine and the perfect driving experience. Don't worry about the extra weight etc... It's a blast the way it is. With the 09 you'll get all the accoutrements of the new PCM etc...

To me a cab is only a no go if you have kids and they ride in the back.
I would not want to submit my little kids to the cabrio seats.

I've had other droptops. In fact I own a convertible, had it since new for over 12 years. When I take it to the track I have to put on the hard top. Drop top plus hard top= more mass, again not ideal.

Don't need a droptop that has extra bracing to get back the rigidity, plus the mass of the droptop mechanism and thus requiring extra power, braking and spring rate to motivate it to a stock coupe level. Nothing "perfect" about that experience in my book from a performance driver's point of view.

But to each their own. If you let the radio decide which car you get then you definitely should get a convertible!

hopefully closing deal today on a EVO MS built 997.1TT...

crossing fingers everything works as planned.. numbers are close just gotta sign some papers. :-D

i had an 05 997.1 cab, it was nice but the back seats are more of a joke than coupe w/ the angle... going coupe for sure after thinking about it.. i found an EVO ms built coupe for the same price as the 2010PDK and i prefer manual trans anyways.
