At last Spring is coming, took some pics today.
Well the winter snow has started to melt and that can only mean one thing, that it’s time for the “Black Mamba” to ride again. It’s been a long winter here in the North East. First we endured hurricane Sandy, then the Blizzard of 2013, and then the last storm this past Friday. As far as I can see that was hopefully winter’s last gasp. While I was passing the time until the weather began to break, as usual I started detailing my car for the much anticipated spring. Since today was 52 deg and sunny I thought I would bring my baby out for some pics before the driving season begins. Too much sand on the roads just yet for that first spring drive, but it won’t be long before the wail of the Europipe exhaust, mated with the Fabspeed headers warms up to my anticipated command, ready to unleash the unbridled power of the 911 Turbo. Hopefully this weather will keep up and keep the skies clear for the upcoming season.
And lastly in reference to the post pertaining to the Softronic Upgrade, I had mine safely done by Scott Slausen, the owner of the Softronic Company in Waterbury Ct. He said their research supports approximately a 585HP performance. All I can say is that he has had a lot of success with this program, and he seemed genuine with the information he provided. I was fortunate to live close enough to his office drive to his shop and have him personally program it for me. He must have had six other ECU’s on his workbench that he was sent either from other Porsche dealerships or different tech shops to fix problems they had. For those interested he begins with a base 997S Turbo program, and depending on what upgrades you have, exhaust etc…, he safely re-programs your car to another level. In reality I don’t think you should get hung up on how much HP you gain from an upgrade, no one will safely see those numbers outside of a track. But rather, how you improve the Porsche DNA and driving dynamics within its genotype that leaves you with a memorable experience and smile on your face.

Nice !
Tomorrows forecast is 10 cm of snow. Can't wait for spring. We had a small taster of spring last week and now winter is back in full force. It has been snowing all day.

looks great Jay! And your anticipation comes across so clear... what a great feeling isnt it? I wonder if other cars do that to people. I think the feeling of a 911 is unique. But then again... That is a bit presumptuous perhaps. I just cant imagine having such anticipation for another car...

Looks great!! I had mine out on Sunday and after about a 25 mile drive the car is coated with rock salt dust. Oh well, it was worth it!
