I just came off warranty on my 09 TT. Bought a 6-year extended warranty. It's a keeper!

... although that new GT3 sure looks nice ... but no manual transmission?

I have a PDK. I avoided the 997 Turbo S because of that. With the sport button on the S accelerates quickly with no lag and great sound. The PDK seems like it always knows what you want to do. It's always in the right gear. It acclerates hard. In Atlanta, it makes it a lot more fun to drive. I have owned at least a dozen 911 with manual trans. Including a '11 GT3RS. Drive a PDK, I think it is the thing to have. I never thought I would say that.

My 991 Turbo will be PDK. Maybe a GT3 too.

I like manual transmissions, I drove one everyday since I was 16. But IMHO the PDK is better.

I know Im going to want a 991 Turbo. But I will wait a few years to get one. And I think it will be a PDK. I love a manual too but the PDK is pretty awesome..

I went down to the dealer for a test drive today, wanting to like the 991S, and if so, like you I was thinking I may move from my Turbo. Don't do it. While the 991S drove well and the looks are really growing on me, it is noticeably slower. All I could think about was how disappointed I'd be if I had that, pressed on the gas, and it didn't blast off like the the Turbo. Unfortunately, we turbo owners are spoiled and I don't think I could drive a non turbo or non gt 911. Looks like im going to wait to see 991 turbo - love the gt3 but need those backseats, as small as they are.

I like the 991 too. But not as a trade for my TT. Like you said once you have a turbo car it's kind of hard to go back.. I would like to have one for a DD with a PDK.

I drove an Abarth the other day. Now that is a fun car!!!! I think I might get one of those..

Like you, I wanted one b4 I drove one at the porsche travelling road show. Cool, but lacking.
Now, I'd be interested in a 991gt3, that's the real deal.
