Default springs and wheels

finally got the gmg springs and bc racing wheels installed

quick crappy iphone pics

(need black lug nut covers asap!)

the gmg springs are perfect, slight lowering and significantly improve the non-sport ride. sport mode feels similar to stock

the wheels came out as I had hoped. the deep concave on the rears looks very unique vs what you typically see on most cars on the street. and the two tone black/brushed gunmetal looks perfect on meteor gray IMO

have to thank the guys over at sonic motorsports in mountain view CA, I'm super picky about who works on my car and they babied it each step of the way

getting the carbon fiber diffuser painted and installed next week then I think I'm done (not hanging out with Tom anymore he puts too many mod ideas in my head )

will post better pics when I have a chance

Looks great - get black lug bolts instead of the caps.

thanks for the comments.

regarding black bolts, I've read that some aftermarket bolts can shear off at speed. I would consider a quality set that is tried and true, any recommendations? otherwise I'm going to just keep the stock bolts and use the black plastic covers to be safe

Look amazing Art.. Will the wheels accept Porsche center caps?

I still think you need that "Werks" CF rear wing... It think it's only $7 or $8k... Just think to yourself.. "What would Tom do?".

some more pics in the sun

springs settled nicely after the 50 mile drive home in 2.5 hours of stop go traffic through south san francisco (argghh!!). and I also noticed that with the more open wheel design the brake dust is awful. the stock wheels keep the brake dust on the inside of the spokes.

What about your stock OEM wheels? BC Forged wheels are very nice and affordable. I like the RS-40 but they dont make them in 19.

Ride height is sweet... You can try to "Rejex" your wheels. It will keep the dust from sticking to your wheels..The right way to do it would be to take the wheels off.. Apply Rejex.. Keep out of sun for 24 hours.. Or you could step up for some PCCB's...

Thanks guys. I'm planning to sell my Oem wheels so we'll see how that goes

Phillip what is rejex? I was going to put some wax on the wheels after the next wash. Pccb ain't happening!

And the ride height is spot on. Should settle into a 3/4" drop all around.

Google it brother.. They use it for boats cars planes etc. It a synthetic coating that protects your paint and anything else you put it on. You can put it on glass too. It works really well and dust and dirt wont stick as much.. It's fairly inexpensive and easy to use.. You put it on.. Let it dry for an hour and wipe it off.. You have to keep the car in the shade for 12 to 24 hours for it to cure properly. If you put it on your wheels and calipers they will stay cleaner..

One bottle will last you a long time.. Works WAY better than wax to keep dirt off.

Phillip Arts wife doesn't like me already and we've never met, there's a reason he has a softronic tune, new rear diffuser; to come; GT2 Side skirts, a new lip up front, coilovers, and he will keep his OEM wheels for the track. And the cool thing is he still pays for drinks. Good guy!
