TT Surgeon thank you for your thoughts.
Fortunately very few of the TTS on the market currently have two-tone interiors and the approximate breakdown of adaptive vs. others is around 50/50.
As to a 6-Speed........ I'm coming from a modded 996TT manual and its simply getting too uncivilized for LA traffic.
Congrats on your recent purchase.
Best,
J

Ha.....I do hope we agree to disagree on this one I keep my cars for a long time :-)
What know I wont miss however is the ridiculously short 1st gear that has us nudging the rev limiter in the blink of an eye.

2 tone interior
I looked at a Turbo today in RS grey black and two tone interior (dark grey and creme) and was blown away! This car is in Germany and I am getting ready to pull the trigger and buy it as my Autobahn stormer while in germany.
This was the first time I saw the two tone interior, from prior posts in this thread it sounds like it is less desirable? I am known for not keeping cars too long, so resale is important to me, any feedback appreciated!

To each his own. I remember reading TT Surg's dislike of the ttS while I was on the hunt for mine over a year ago. Having a modded 996tt which was a 6 and having owned an 05 ttS, I still took the leap and bought a 12 TTS and loved every minute of my 12 mo ownership and 7k miles. It was a DD for me and what surprised me was that though I thought I would live playing with the paddle shifters and hence only considered cars this the paddles, I quickly faded from driving in manual mode and just let the car do its thing.
The ability to leave it in comfy stock or Sport or Sport Plus and let PDK and the computer do what it does best left me convinced that that would not be the only 997.2 TTS I would ever own. I will forever remember the one and only run that I was allowed to do with LC at the strip which resulted in a 10.79@129 with a 1.5 something 60 ft. One whole second faster than my modded tt and more fun than any ride I can ever recall at 6 flags.
Now my 6speed tt is my DD, but I sure miss the 997.2 ttS.

Three Wheelin'
PDK is the only transmission available for US 2011-2012 TTS's. Copied from the R&T review of the 2011 TTS " Porsche has included a beefed-up version of the ultra-quick PDK (dual-clutch transmission) with new, proper shift paddles. The six-speed manual that’s standard on the Turbo is not available here."
