997.1 might not be the fastest in stock form now that the 997.2 turbo is here and im sure the 991 turbo will be faster yet....but it is that last with a different engine block taht they will produce. Buying the turbo was much more expensive but that was due to the better engine...now the bean counters have won. The same with PDK...yes its fast but do I see a day when you wont be able to get a manual trans? OMG.
Porsche will always be a fine car but the bean counters have won. Its just not the same. To me its 997.1 or 993....nothing else matters.

I see prices coming down significantly this winter. They had dropped for a while here before the end of this season (now) and have come back up due to last ditch efforts by sellers to sell high. Don't see many sales at Manheim or even on ebay, so those who are trying to sell will drop their prices.

It's a car, not an investment. Keep it if you love it and realize that they lose value if you want to sell it.

My advice is, keep it- 911's (except the 996) will always be "Classics".

just received my brake discs/pads/spark plugs/v belt/oil filter from Suncoast.

It looks like I ll keep mine forever

The discs are so heavy, the bells are cast iron. (I think) cause I opened a box of Brembo 380 mm brake kit for my M3 TT, the Brembo 380 mm rotors weigh much less than 997 TT OEM rotors....

This weekend will detail my lovely 997 TT. Just opened Meguiars Wax and also Porsche's OEM Leather Conditioner.

I agree, these are true classics. Question: do you have recent Mannheim pricing on any 2011/2012 Turbos S?

Um yeh Tom..i'm pretty certain it's just you.

Haven't driven mine for a while now but i still vividly recall the last time I drove it and that same thought always crosses my mind every time i switch the key off in my garage....that being "sheesh that car is unbelievable"!!!!!!

If the TT is not doing it for you maybe start with booting that pos Tubi off.....just a suggestion....
