So I want to do the brake fluid flush and I go to a large dealer near me and they want $350....crazy. So I check a dealer about 20 miles away and they have a coupon on line to do it for $135.....
Why do some of these dealers try to rip you off? Don they make enough money the honest way?

that's how they do, fact of life. I had the 4 year major service done on my car at purchase and one dealer wanted $1800 and the other did it for $880. go figure. shop around, it's the only way to fly... wait I just had an idea - priceline for dealer service, name your own price, now I just need william shatner to shoot a few commercials for me. no one steal my idea

unless the bagels are served by a HOT topless waitress i'll pass.

Specifically ask the dealer how it $350. The Brake Fluid is $25 and takes Less than 1 hr.

I perform most of my maintenace myself. In fact, I am doing the timing belt on my Acura TL soon. Not a mechanic but familiar with tools and general knowledge. I do have impact wrenches, torque tools, specs service manuals for all my vehicles. I love it its fun! Probably most of you don't have the time to do it, understandable. I just can't trust anyone in South Florida. Unless it catastrophic in nature, it is not going to the dealer. Oil change on the TT was a joke. I replaced the A/C LCD display on my front panel because it had a couple of bad pixels. The new part was like $500.00. I found one on ebay that I guess the paint was falling off the ***** for $50.00. Took it apart removed the LCD and bingo back in service. I have warranty still but will not go to the dealer.

That's awesome.. Sad that you can't trust your dealer. I like you do a lot of my own work. If I do take it to the dealer for warranty work I have a great technician there. One time when he was not there another moron worked on my car to fix the cup holder. He managed to ruin the leather on my seat and the dealer had to put a new seat cover on.. I completely trust my regular tech and will not let anyone else touch my car.. As far as crazy pricing goes when i was told I needed front pads for my PCCB's they quoted me $1,750!!! I laughed.. Did it with a friend for $600.

I recently went through the same experience. Went to an indy and got the job done for $150.00. I brought my own royal blue brake fluid.
