I am sorry to see her go. Would take her off your hands in a second!
It must be in the car... under the nose carpet? in the glove compartment? They only glitch I can imagine is the guy that installed the wheels in the first place to have kept it by mistake...
What lights modifications did you have?

Lights: the usual , turbo ducts with led running lights and white turn signals.
In the back the red ones.

And he doesnt want these? oh well. Its a classic I guess.
I need to wait a few years to be able to import one without the ridiculous taxes in Greece. 20 years will buy me a tax free classic car plate... So in 2015 I will be looking for a 1995...

I understand you completely. You have to scratch that itch. I did with 964 and 993. Had 3 different ones in recent years. But I couldn't enjoy driving them.
I used to own a 964 when they were still new and back than it was 'the car'. Now they're just old. Nothing wrong with that , it's live. Someday the 997 turbo will be 'old'.
No, he doesn't want the 19" wheels. Most Germans don't like anything out of the ordinary. No prob, I'll be selling them once they are off.

Great journey Denis. The new car looks great as does the old but i have to agree with the new owner the 993 looks better preserved in original form. I've always found it easier offloading a car bone stock plus then you have the benefits of picking up some drinking money on the leftovers. Cheers and enjoy your new ride in good health. Now lets see her dressed in those CHR 12's and dropped. I'm sure it will look absolutely fantastic.

Just noticed you have painted lip and sides! That looks nice.
Look for something to protect that lip, and keep a second one painted spare to swap every 6 months... They are near 150 euro I believe + paint of course.
Here is an interesting thread regarding lip protection.

Thanks for the tip regarding the spoiler protection ! Will look into the door molding protection stuff locally and if I can't find it I just might order it from Ohio. The painted spoiler on the car still looks brand new, no scrape anywhere to be seen. No stone chips, nothing. Once lowered I am sure I am going to scrape so thanks again. Great and simple idea.
993S is ready btw :

I scrape my lip every time I drive in and out of my garage because i have quite a steep section leading onto a flat level section so, even driving sideways i always scrape a bit. The type of lip is very important i find. I found with the OEM lip it has a tendency to furl on the edge and roll under, breaking the paint so it shows all the nasty scrapes. The techart type 1 lip i have is quite genius in design because the under shape of the lip allows for scrapes without showing the damage unless you stick your head right under to take a peek. It also makes a massive improvement to the appearance of the front from all angles unlike the oem which from a distance makes the front look a bit weak and cheesy.

You know, I have had a lot of cars and always thought the 993 would stay.
I spent lots of time and new parts on it and it was close to perfect. Every time I did a major thing I took it for a spin and was always happy to put it back in the garage. Preferred looking at the thing than driving it. Hence only 100Km's in 6 years. My turbo purchase only made this bigger so time to move on. No regrets.
Think I'll just keep the handle. Doesn't bother me. It was the first Porsche forum I discovered and did not think I would become a poster so just registered on my than new car's type.

Yep handles can come about for a variety of reasons. 993S is fine, and when you look at it there are so many members out there that have used a model specific handle i couldn't care to count so you're not alone.
PS im assuming that 100kms in 6 years means 100,000kms?...well i hope so..

During those 6 years I have had 3 997 turbo's, Audi S5, BMW6 which I preferred to drive. Never got around to registering the 993 either. Good because officially this car is a 1 owner car and because of it the buyer was prepared to pay top €.

I bought the car with 67600km and sold it 6 years later with 67700km.

For me the car was just part of a collection. I had a few 964's , 996 and a 997 turbo, not counting the Lotus'. The 993 was the prettiest in the collection. But drive I did neither. Sold all (beside the turbo) with less than 500km driven on each car.
I thought I was a collector but it turned out I wasn't. In the end it bothered me to have so many cars sitting unused and bit by bit the collection got sold. This was the last one. Still one Lotus but that would be hard to sell but maybe one day...

Well at the prices we pay for our cars out here i guess i won't be collecting any time soon. Too many other priorities. I'm currently into collecting memories and money lol. To have but not to hold is not all its cracked up to be in my experience. Pleasure is in using things i find...and even then I'm struggling to do that with 3 cars in the household least of all half a dozen...
