Some folks are very intimidated by manual transmissions for some reason and that makes matters worse when they attempt to drive a 3 pedal car.

Its really nothing to drive. Going from a manual auto to a motorcycle was easy using same principles but your left hand is the clutch.

Just take the TT out and have fun. I would start in a big empty FLAT parking lot and just practice. Stay away from HILLs until you half way master the coordination. Your worst enemy as a novice will be a red light on a steep hill.

I've had a bevy of P-cars. Love them all.

And, none were 'slush boxes'. PDK is a very technologically wonderful tranny. But, it is not for me. My wife wants me to get one so she can drive the car. It will not happen.

If I wanted an auto car, I'd buy a Buick. Which I may have to do as I become more and more gray.

I feel the same way.

As long as I can feel my toes and can move my left foot the MT stays.

I dread the day I have to buy an automatic (no matter what euphemism its called when the time comes)

IMO an automatic is any car without 3 pedals PERIOD.

didn't read any post or OP question.

PDK.

I drive sticks but if I didn't & wanted a TT. I'd go PDK.. I loved it. I wouldn't buy a tiptronic unless well someone gave it to me & then I'd go trade it for a stick.

Learn to drive the PDK - go to the Porsche driving school. I went for a ride with a good sales person in houston - had a cayman R. Watching his feet I knew he knew what he was doing. It was very impressive.

buy a cayman S or something to beat on & learn - then get a turbo. if you suck at it your going to be burning up a lot of clutches @ 3-5k.

Pay to play.

With this said the amount of tq the car has and the hydraulic asst makes driving a manual turbo easy.
