Jerry,

Its time for you to pull the pin and get yourself a turbo!!!!
When I was looking, I was looking for white, but I couldnt find one. Every car I looked at was silver or black.

Pffff I wish, I still need to save 7000 dollars and then wait on the tax return in April. I dont like financing cars so I have to be patient. Trust me if I could I would right this second!!! My freind told me today; however, that they may pass a law in GA where you have to pay taxes on a car sold by a private individual, that would totally screw me up so I may have to do it sooner.

With mine I bit the bullet and put it on the line of credit.
Owning it has kept me motivated to pay it off as quick as possible.

I'm not sure what kind of interest rates you can get in the US, but they are super low here in Canada.

Yea it all really just depends on how much I have saved up by next spring when the time comes, If i have to finance 15k or even 20k Ill probably do that. I can get around 4% interest most likely, but I am hoping to have most of the cash by then. It seems like every time I turn around there is some reason to dig into my car fund...10th anniversary, vacations, broken home AC unit........meh it never ends.

Are you planning on selling your 964 turbo to fund part of the new turbo?

Guards Red is a CLASSIC Porsche color, maybe one the best ever. There are two reasons though there arent alot anymore.
1. Like Terry said, people are really paying attention to resale, so they are probably avoiding it for that reason. Whites are nice and black of course but I have in my garage one Silver 335i, one black BMW X-5 4.8is one white 911 and now one gold 928. So I wish I had some real color.

2. I think the "ARREST ME RED" Tag scares off people. They have a car now that runs like a scalded cat, and they are afraid of stickinout. BTW I think I read a report where WHITE is the second color to get pulled over besides red.
How many time have you seen a red sports car and watched it all the way till you lost it in traffic.

Best of both worlds i get more recognition hands down in the Red 911. I refer to the Black one as a stealth 911 as I seem to blend into the traffic much easier

I love red but was afraid of the "arrest me red" legend. Actually I read an article that said that red cars get no more tickets than any other color. The other nickname for them is "resale red" because they sell.

You can get some of that exhaust-sound back in a turbo with a EP1. Wish I would have got the stock system off earlier. Porsches have to have a Porsche sound... huge part of the fun driving.

Since you mentioned it I haven't seen red turbo in six months. And that was used at Niello in Sacramento. Sounds silly but I keep a running tab on the number of TurboS I see.
