Default Got my VIN today

Thought I would share with the board I got my VIN today on my TT. The title of the e mail from my dealer rep was "Porsche Born 2 day"

Not every day a car guy gets a note like that...I was pretty jacked..

Congratulations. Soon ONVESL, then off to the dealership and finally into your hands.

aahh, remember those days well. There are some great threads here back when guys were getting the first cars and all of us waiting, comparing where we were.

Really, Really exciting. The wait and expectation can be just as exciting as the actual item.

Default Me too....

I have been lurking on this board for 4 years after buying my 2002 996 TT.
I got my VIN for 2010 TT PDK a week ago so probably on the same boat as overdraft!

Counting the days....

One more step down few more to go. Then the fun begins

I am looking forward to getting my Vin on the Turbo S Cab I ordered this week. But I am still over 3 months aways from that Date.

Keep us informed as you get updates. I will be tracking how many days it takes you to get your car from Vin Date to see about how long my wait will be.

My estimated completion date is 3/4. When should I expect a VIN and when will it be ONVESL?

You get a VIN number the day it rolls out of production. Takes about two weeks to get ONVESL.
Happy waiting.

To me the wait is just as enjoyable as the day the car arrives.

if it takes 2 weeks to get ONVESL, then how much longer till it shows up at my mid-atlantic dealer? another 2 weeks, so 4 total weeks from completion? that seems to be the general rule of thumb I've heard, just wondering if people have experienced shorter or longer than 4 weeks since completion.

i bet the wait was more fun in hindsight. i can totally see that. but when you're 4 months into it, it's not so fun.

Once ONVESL it takes a little less than two weeks to cross the Atlantic. Pass PDI and then onto the dealership.

my car is complete, just reached CMPPRD status, and I've got my VIN number. What's the over/under on when it should reach my east coast dealer?

Can you copy and paste the build sheet? Would love to see which options you got!
