i got lucky i think. the car was done on 3/8 and didn't have to wait long at all to get on the boat, which is scheduled to reach port on 3/24. my dealer is 50 miles from the port, so should have it soon after that. 3.5 months waiting now down to 2 weeks or less......

That is awesome. I love living this moment through others. Personally won't get mine until the next generation comes out, 998/991 whatever they end up naming it. I have a build sheet from when the Tequipment Porsche folks made me one at the LA Autoshow. The only thing they didn't mention, and isn't available on the online configurator, was the deviating stitching. Just wonder what color stitching would go well with Nordic Metallic exterior and Cocoa Leather interior. Any suggestions?

The wait won't be long. She's almost home, good luck.

If you don't mind me asking how much are the "Stitching" options?

My 2010 TT Coupe optioned with all performance enhancements sans PCCBs, lots of leather and aluminum everywhere is hovering just a little bit above $169K including delivery.

For some reason the stitching is not available within the online configurator and they didn't mention it at the LA Auto Show when the Tequipment folks from Germany outfitted me with it!

Here are the deviated stitching costs:

24891 Stitching F/R seats Dev. Color 1,100.00
24901 Dashboard Stitching Dev. Color 310.00
24902 Door Stitching in Dev. Color 310.00
24903 Door Handle Stitching Dev.Clr. 550.00
24904 Dev.Stitching Side Centr Cnsl 310.00
24905 Rear Side Panel Dev.Stitching 390.00
09991 All Excl.Opt Stitch Dev Color 290.00

but i think you also need to order the following to make the deviated stitching look complete (maybe not the door finishers, but the others for sure):

XMZ Rear Center Console - Leather 1,260.00
XTV Door Finishers in Leather 360.00
CFP Handbrake Lever in Aluminum II 775.00
XWU Gear Selector Surround Leather 390.00

but there is no option yet to get the steering wheel in deviated stitching. not happy about that, but it will be fine.

I think I am probably send my wheel to TechArt - you can get a better wheel done exactly how you want it - so I would not worry about the stitching on the wheel. Please remind me of your final color choice for the interior and stitching. You are going to be driving that beast soon!

Wow, that is fast! My Panamera Turbo was also finished on 3/8 and my dealer called me yesterday with the name of the ship that my car is on, but it is not scheduled to reach port until 3/31.

I love Porsches but I just don't like how they gouge on everything. Must be the Porsche Tax!

I mean come on man, the cost of the PCM Leather Options and Aluminum treatments? WAY OVER PRICED!

I figured if I'm going to spend this much money on a car, might as well be GONZO, to quote HST!

What do you guys think of the configuration?

I think the config is like a slot machine at Casino. You get addicted then when you look back and say wow. How did I add that much to my car.

The wife has banned me from config on Porsche .com
she doest understand that those carbon illumn sills are really needed on the turbo s i have on order. Don't know how I ever got in a car without them

So I'm going to have to add $3260 to my config for the stitches? Someone correct me!

black leather with white stitching. i love the color combo (seen on many aston martins) and was the only color stitching i thought that would work with the ruby red and black leather.

i will first see how the steering wheel looks and then possibly look into what you suggested. more importantly, i'm glad i got the pdk surround, rear center console, and storage compartment done right with deviated stitching, thanks to one of your earlier posts.
