Must have options

Must have options
Hello everyone,
I am in the market for used 2007 or 2008 997TT. Specifically, I am looking for the following combination:
Artic or GT Silver
Tiptronic + Chrono
Painted rockers (nice to have's but not a must)
CPO - could I get this added at dealership if I purchase from private owner?
I would like to have thicker steering wheel and more supportive seats but don't recall the exact option # or description. Could you guys kindly recommend any other "must have" options for the car that I should consider? I don't want anything fancy like carbon brakes which will increase maintenance cost in the future. I will not be tracking the car and will be weekend driver only.
In addition, I would greatly appreciate any advice in terms of inspecting the vehicle. I presume everyone recommends taking the car to an independent shop for inspection? So, if I buy from one porsche dealership, do I take it to a different one for inspection?
Thank you in advance for your help/advice and the wonderful forum.

Upgraded seats are called "Adaptive Sport Seats" or A.S.S.
LSD was a "must have" when I spec-ed my car.
Heated seats are nice for the women passengers.
Everything else I can think of is aesthetic personal preference (painted seat backs, center console, aluminum look interior trim, leather interior bits).

With no track use and just weekend driving, the carbon ceramic brakes would last a lifetime, won't rust and leave no brake dust. Seems like a must have for your application to me.

Edgy01 - wow, I guess I learn something everyday. How much are pads for PCCB. How often do you normally replace these? Bassed on your usage, it will prob be used over 100k?!?!

Plus, I found when I was looking for a 997TT (used) that there didn't seem to be much of a premium for the PCCB vs standard brakes, so all the more reason to get the PCCBs.

My 09 which was on my dealer's lot had everything that was a must have (or at least preferred) for me, and a few other items:
Thicker Steering Wheel
Limited Slip
Sport Shifter
Universal Audio Interface
Adaptive Sport Seats
Sport Chrono
Bluetooth
Heated Front Seats
PCCB's (could live without them, but prefer them and had them on my 05S)
Other Options (not essential to me):
Park Assist
6-Disc CD Changer
Foot Rest Aluminum
Red Taillights

I mic'ed my pads when I had 38K on the car and found that I had used 0.6mm of pad thickness (out of a total of 10.6mm). Pads are routinely about $100 more (just fronts) than the usual pads for the iron rotors. (I priced them when I was ordering the brakes). I am not a whimp when it comes to braking, either. But it tells me that a street car with PCCBs essentially has no brake maintenance expenses for nearly 250,000 miles--other than fluid changes. This is an option clearly for people who are planning to actually keep their Turbos for several years. it's one of those investments in the future. There's no point in ordering PCCBs if you flip cars every two years, unless you just like the brake action. The next guy will appreciate it, however!
I love them.

Concerning your CPO question: No, dealers will not CPO a car unless 1) you buy the car from them and 2) it passes the CPO inspection.
The only other way to get a CPO car is to buy a car that already has a CPO warranty. The CPO warranty will transfer to the new owner, but only if the car is pruchased from a private individual.
If a CPO car is traded into a non-Porsche dealer, the CPO warranty is immediately nul and void.
