Could they be using up the last of the real deal dry sumps? If so, might be worth it.

It will only be available with the PDK transmission. So I see city folks or non real drivers buying them.

NoN real drivers? I guess you've not driven a PDK or come up against one on the track. LOL

Ricster, for a dealer you show a surprising lack of appreciation for the PDK. My race car is a 6 spd. My DD is a C4s with PDK and I love it. I also love it on the track. I hope the next RS has it. My racer pals who have tried it on the track are all blown away.

Regards,

Regards,
bob, i don't completely agree with the ricster, but i think that speed on the track is not the whole story. i have an e63 amg, and i love the comfort of the whole thing, but that is an amg sedan. i am in paris today, and while walking the city with my daughter, i saw several big amg sedans-big comfortable powerful sedans. in my mind, my 997 turbo is a different experience-i enjoy the stick, i love the entire experience there of shifting that turbo charged engine. i am sure, because i am not a great racer, that i am quicker with a pdk, but i just like the stick on the porsche better. i have driven a carrera s with a pdk-i just like the stick better there. if i want the automatic deal, i take my amg.

I'd like confirmation of this. I think that would be a tragedy.

And the OP states 'Porsche' announces....

Just where did Porsche announce this?
Where is the press release stating this, and the PDK question?

Not dissing, just want the facts. And still bothered by the '10 order guide specifically stating dry sump/external tank. That is bizarre if in fact the GT1 is history.

So....who has the facts and can post the documents up?
