A couple of us on the 997 forum are seeing if there is any interest in a group buy for a smart top.

I definitely want one. I had it and the smart key for my 996 turbo cab. I was just on their website yesterday looking at the 997 product. It appears that they have incorporated the smart top and smart key into on module for the 997.

Since there are very few 997 TT cabriolets out so far, you might want to also post this on the regular 997 forum if you have not already done so.

How about including a RemoteKey group buy as well for non-cab owners?

I was told by smartTop that the module works in both. We have done a decent number of them here. I can get a group buy deal together for 10 units if there is enough interest.

Even if that were true, it wouldn't make sense for coupe guys to get a discount on a $479 SmartTop module when the RemoteKey is only $299 without discount. Could you see what you could setup on a RemoteKey group buy, maybe they need 10 units regardless of specific module?

OK, here is the deal I can get for everyone.

10 Units or more = 10% off
20 Units of more = 20% off
30 Units of more = 30% off

You can mix and match the modules however you want. For instance on 10, the SmartTop lists at $479 and would run $431.10. The RemoteKey is $299 and the discounted price would be $269.10.

There will be no charge on shipping.

I am not sure how fast everyone wants to move on it, but we can run the deal for a week or until the end of the month to get the higher volume. You guys let me know. I will also let Matthew here at GMP know because he will be the one who will handle the group buy orders.
