That uses the factory key and a remote module plugin - correct? Call me lazy not to read the brochure I have resident experts here.

Any one know if the previous steps would be followed or would I have to wait for closure and then push the keyfob to lock?
If it would do everything, I am interested.

The SmartTop will do exactly what you stated.

I use that feature routinely. It's probably the best aftermarket option available for a 997 cab.

The group buy will be over on the 26th of this month. That's the Monday after Thanksgiving. Go ahead and get the infomation for orders to Matthew (extension 258) so he can ship them immediately Monday.

As of now, all modules will be sold at 10% off. If you guys can get to 20, there is a 20% off discount*.

*We posted this group buy at 20% off on 20 units. This was actually incorrect and it should have been an extra 5% discount on each additional 10 pieces sold as per SmartTop, so only 15% off on 20 units.

I have spoken to SmartTop and we are able to honor this discount structure this time since its been posted. The opportunity to get it at 20% off for 20 units will not happen again so now is the time to take advantage it.

I don't have my TT coupe yet, so it is difficult for me to see the benefit of $269 for a beep, turn on high beams in parking lot, etc. I thought the TT already did the tilt down mirrors, and I don't care if my doors lock or not when I start moving.

Agree the smart top for the Cabrio. gives you a lot more than remote key for the Coupes. But besides what you already mentioned, AFAIK you can also operate the windows without having the key in the ignition, this is a good feature imo especially during washing. I think you can also operate the windows remotely w/ the key which should be nice in hot climates. But the biggest plus imo for Coupe guys is it will help eliminate the accidental boot opening which imo is very dangerous. Luckily I got into the habit of checking my boot on my 997 S cabrio w/ every drive because twice I found it was popped.

GMP - I will call you tomorrow. Thanks for doing this!

Terry, once you get your TT coupe you will understand. I am getting the Remote Key module because I want the audible confirmation and because it puts a delay on the trunk remote trunk release. I can't tell you how many times I had to walk back to my car because I couldn't see the tail lights from an angle or come out to the garage only to find my trunk popped. It happens all the time and you will see what I mean when you get your car.

Everything else is gravy but the one touch passenger window is a plus. Cabs have the one touch passenger window but in coupes the one touch feature doesn't work until you hold the button 2/3 of the way up.
