Default Turbo's 'whistling' louder

I've got 2500 miles on my TT. During hard acceleration today, the Turbo's eeem to be 'whistling' louder. I also noticed a slight interuption/hesitation. (The hesitation occurred after the Turbo's had spooled up, in other words it happened when they are normally delivering a smooth hard 'punch'.)

Anyone have the same thing happen?

check for a leak from one of the intercooler hoses behind the rear wheel. Those are notorious for getting loose on 996tt's and the design is the same

Usually when a customer descibes the whistling sound, and it increases in volume, it is the diverter valves. The inner diaphragm has failed.

I agree, diaphragm failure. Sorry you have to go through the bs, good luck.

I thought the 997TT did not have diverter valves?

Does the 997tt use the Bosch diverter valves? I remember some people changing out the plastic/rubber Bosch valves for metal types on other models.

all the VTG style turbos including the new GT2 use the vanes to control/bleed boost levels
