Like the color. I would have done a two tone interior with black carpets.

It's got too much orange/brown in it for my taste. Never liked Boxster Red for that reason either. Funny thing is.....it is the exact same shade of red as the interior on my long gone 1977 911 Targa.

I still prefer Lipstick Red overall. Can Can Red and Flamenco are OK as well..........

Eric,

I like it, not so sure I would like it for the long run, but there is something about a Boxter red interior on a Porsche!

Gotta agree on the red... too much orange in it for my taste... though for REAL red, it's GOTTA be Can Can

And for the record, I'm not biased at all...

It would look nice toned down with a hefty amount of carbon fiber.

Here's a quick (bad) mock-up of black/carrera red 2 tone.

Sorry not a fan of red interiors, just too damn bright in my opinion.

Don't care for it at all, the only thing worse is the Speed Yellow leather sample I saw at the dealer.

I think the Black/Red look is very cool.

The red alone is too much for me. Black/red looks better.

I've got to say that people who don't like red, usually haven't spent time with a red interior-d car. My 993's inside is RED (can-can, which apart from lipstick is THE most red of all time - think Reservoir Dogs), and it was almost a deal-breaker when I bought it - I didn't think I'd be able to live with it.

It took me all of the five-hour drive home to fall absolutely, totally in love; to the extent that if I buy a 997TT I'll get exactly the same interior. Hell, a reason I wouldn't consider a GT2 is that they don't offer the leather-to-sample! Everybody, and I mean everybody, comments on it and falls in love almost immediately.

Seriously, red is absolutely wonderful, and really gives the car character, especially on a grey overcast day. If anybody is considering it, go with it, you won't regret it...

Yes, but your red, too, is broken up with carbon and black. I think the 997tt red interior, as stock, is just too much red. If there was a way to do the interior like I posted above - maybe with black leather on the PCM - I think it would look stunning with black, silver, any of the grays and white.

No PCM on this one

..this shade of red/black would compliment the 997 imo
