meteor gray
starting to look for a car to get and found one but it is meteor gray - I have heard that this is the same as seal gray - is it identical or just close? what about slate gray - is this darker or lighter than the meteor gray? and pics of meteor gray cars would be highly appreciated - thanks in advance

Sorry I don't have any pics to offer but I saw last week a Meteor Grey C2S next to a GT Silver C2S next to an Arctic Silver TT next to an Atlas Grey CS. Meteor Grey is in between Atlas Grey and GT Silver. It is a great color! Go for it...

black is great, but one thing I had worried about was swirl marks - do you notice these much on your black car? the last black car I had was a BMW and the swirl marks were not horrific but enough to bother me when looking at the car in direct sunlight

actually basalt was one of the colors I was thinking about - I had seen a sweet TT a few years ago that was this color but have not seen it since then - I will have to go to the dealer soon to look at some of these colors side by side to see what strikes me the most - my last TT was seal gray and I loved it but would like to get something different this time, but might end up going back to that or it's equivalent if nothing else looks good

Meteor is just a tad darker than seal. Slate is a whole lot darker than either. Slate seems to be difficult to photograph well. You really need to see all of them in person to decide. Basalt is a very nice variation on the black theme.
If you liked seal, you'll probably like meteor as well. Makes for a beautiful Turbo!
Good luck with your choice.

Here are some color samples comparing Meteor Grey vs Seal Grey. The former is a bit more grey and the latter has a slight blue tint to it.
Seal on left and Meteor on right
Forget about black if you're concerned about swirl marks. It OWNS you! Meteor grey would definitely be easier to maintain although you could be lulled into a false sense of having a clean car if you don't care for the paint periodically.

cool - thanks so much - it really helps contrast them sitting on top of each other like that - I really dig the meteor, but now I have to go to the dealer and see it on a car - hope they have it and all the other colors I am looking at - I am sure it will not be in a turbo, but at least a base 911
