suspension is a lil soft for track . little to much body roll but it sure was fun for a day! awd made it almost untoucheable in the twisties

look at the amount of movement in body. the mpsc rolled over tremendously

Default How to stay on boost

I've only driven our 997TT a couple hundred miles. To me it seems the engine is on-off, not linear between no boost and boost. This has trouble me in sharp turns.

How does the car behave on the track? If the revs are kept up does the boost stay on?

Say the engine is at 3000 or 4000 rpm. Is the boost the same if the engine is under load or no load, ie, the throttle position? Or does the boost drop under low load?

Maybe this is obvious to you long-term Porsche guys, but not to me. Thanks.

The boost tends to hit at about 3k. Above that, you should have less problems with the on/off effect at the track. Just keep the motor in the powerband above that and you will have less problems. As far as sharp turns - this car has an immense amount of torque. You need to progressively "squeeze" the throttle out of turns rather than "stab" it.

That's the truth!

The tendancy is to jump the pedals, but I find that rolling them is all you need. PSM will prevent you from trying to nullify Physics but will also cost you time in doing so. There is sooooo much TQ available that you can drive very fast, very smoothly by moderating your inputs.

Yes 930Man, you can get a bit too much body roll. I think the stock shocks are just a bit too soft. Do you know of good bars/shocks that can be used without nullifying the Warrantty?

allegretto: shocks and bars will not void the warranty i have changed out on preveious cars with specifaclly asking that question. there are several brand out there but i would wait just a tat longer let the manufactures work out the bugs sizing and valving due to the tourque of the turbo.

to stiff you will get wheel hop under acceration in a bumpyy corner.. that would be really bad with the 997tt. turbos would spool even quicker.. might get messy

i spoke to Ruf .. i think it was Hans several months ago specifically about this, hes said give them like 6 months they were working out bugs so i figure call him the first of year. i think on that car i would trust Ruf, Bilsein and maybe H&R .

I'd wait too, the word on the street is that a pseudo X73 suspension may be available from PAG in europe next yr.
I love your car list 930 man!

I've probably got 20,000 track miles on mine. I'm impressed with these folks taking their new iron. Too many wine and cheese types buying Porsches.

20k track miles? You might as well get a sponsor and have someone else pick up the tab!

The latest update that I got from PCNA regarding PAG RoW suspension components on US cars is that they are NOT supported by PCNA under warranty.
A Porsche dealer can chose to install and cover warranty issues related to these components, but at their own risk/cost.
Seems a bit odd, but that is the latest PCNA stance.
