Anyone else perplexed by the small gas tank they put in the TT?
I know the car is supposed to get pretty good gas mileage but all these trips to the pump.. Come on...

996TT fuel tank capacity is ~ 16.6 US gallons.
The low fuel warning light (and OBC message) will come on if there is less than ~3 gallons remaining or the range of remaining fuel calculation/display falls below ~ 30 miles.
The capacity of the tank is somewhat compromised by the presence of the AWD in the TT and 4S, compared to the C2.
On previous Porsches, a (Euro) extended capacity fuel tank was available as an option; however I do not believe these were carried forward to the 'wet' Porsches.
A larger fuel tank was never a requirement/consideration during the design of either.

Tank is too small. I average about 18 mpg, and I'm stopping all too often.
My E55 has about a 21 gal capacity, averages about 22, and seems about right in terms of range. AS

Also, just did the 20K mi service at the dealer. There were three recalls they did on mine, voltage reg, secondary air pump and some brake cable rerouting thing. Car runs great now...
