First 997tt modified ECU software
Just appeared on RS Tuning website:
Our Tuningkit for the 997 Turbo successfully graduated the first engine dyno course. Of the potential of the motor comfortably surprised a 1st achievement step with more than 400 kW / 540 HP . More to come
This will be available through Cargraphic when fully signed off.
Remember an RS Tuning 542hp 996GT2 does 0-300kph(186mph) in 28.5s (a Carrera GT takes 34.2s) and 0-200kph(125mph) in 10.7s - These are NOT chassis dyno hp numbers !

Check with Fabryce at GMG Racing in Santa Ana, CA, they work with Cargraphic quite a bit. www.gmgracing.com
Not affiliated, just a fan, as they did a fantastic job on my "imposter" EVOMS S/C'd narrrow-body 996.

I was under the impression that the 0 - 300km/h was achieved with their 626 hp kit. Correct me if I am wrong.

If you look at the link below you will see that they claim 0-300kph in 22.5s for the 626hp kit

Using a bigger compressor with the stock VTG hot side may also not work, the info I have (or my interpretaion of it) is that it is not that simple and loading up the VTG exhaust side more with a larger compressor may cause other heat related problems.
The 540 kit is not ready for release yet, it has not been through the full R&D process.

tb,
22.5 to 300kmh definitely sounds like a claim to me,the rt12 ran 24 secs in the forthcoming 'auto bild' and is a little more potent. what do you think?
best regards

As always a wealth of information. Given that the compressors run out of spool at around 560 hp, it would seem that Porsche's future upgrades (GT2, X50 etc) would be rated in the 520 hp range.
BTW, where is your car?

I think the 22.5s is a claim - can't recall ever seeing an actual magazine test.
It was RS who "invented" the 0-300kph run in the late '80s with the 580hp wide bodied 930tt which did 216mph and 0-300kph in 29.4s the journalists of the day were guessing at 40+secs, having never done the test before !
Not sure you really want my opinion on the potency of Ruf's horses
From about 2001 I think that Ruf's horses have changed compared to the ones
he used to quote for the 993 turbo R and before.
I don't know if its a change in personel (Ruf himself is not up to speed
with modern ECU control and leaves the engine side to others) but I
think the numbers quoted from the Ruf engine dyno are not Porsche comparable any more.
Compared to many other tuners, yes Ruf's numbers are very conservative and
this may be why they now allow bigger numbers to quoted.
We will do an acceleration run next to each other at the upcoming Vmax and
you can decide how RS Tuning horses compare to Ruf horses
BTW
I think if the RT12 does 0-300kph in 24s then it is VERY potent for a road legal car and we are clutching at straws debating hp at these levels of acceleration
