Hello. I have a 2010 997.2 TT and have an interest in replacing the PDK trans mount now having replaced the aged/worn engine mounts...learned quickly that it is a much different job than the .1 given the part does not appear in any source I've used (e.g. Porsche parts manual, Sunset, Pelican). Any and all guidance is welcome short of replacing the entire transmission.
For anyone following this, I think this is a flaw with the PDK as a whole - not being able to replace a mount. I see the function first solution, which I'm now considering, and the hack solution by thatilgarage guy (respect his work) but I'm pretty disappointed in Porsche for this. Great car (997.2 TT), just frustrated that replacing engine mounts is fairly easy but a trans mount doesn't even have a part number.
Guess they expect you to replace entire $20k+ transmission.
Thank you. I found that same video doing my youtube searching. I will probably try it, but a couple of questions:
1) Did you end up having to lower the transmission to access or were you able to get the material in there without?
2) Did you replace the two end pieces? I forget what they're called but made of foam/rubber and mine fall apart at the very touch.
3) Were you happy with the results? any issues?
Thanks again. Helpful to hear somebody has tried this.
1) i believe i did have to lower the tail of the trans
2) no i didnt replace the two end pieces
3) im happy that it stoped the clunking and that i didnt need to buy a 20K trans to solve that issue

Thank you subyking. I'm going to try this method, and yes, way better than the 20k alternative. Perhaps they'll come out with the part one day.

Did you end up replacing it? You can buy this piece online at least in Europe. One question if you did both job the Transmission mount and the new engine mount did it change drastically the car feeling and comfort on gear change for example? Exit jerk or strange transmission noise?
I'm planning to do it on mine since now they are 14 years old, even if the car has only 29000km I think it's time since the gear change jerk as soon as I push the car or in sport mode. I think that's because the mount is worn with age and the transmission move a bit. Alos the idle feels a bit shaky those a engine mount I think.
