resale PLUS or MINUS

resale PLUS or MINUS
Would please like opinions on resale PLUS or MINUS for the factory “Rod Antenna” option #461. It unscrews down to a nub as shown in 2nd pic; screw hole easily plugged. Assuming the car checks other boxes is this a non-issue? Doesn’t bother me but I tend to move on pretty quickly don’t want a white elephant option code. Thoughts?? Thx

Never knew that was even an option.. My bet is the person who bought the car originally had a pet-peeve about AM or FM radio reception and ticked the box on the configurator so that their new car could get the Dave Ramsey show (or whatever flavor of AM radio broadcast) in crystal clear sound..

Never knew this option existed until now. Neither positive or negative feelings about but clearly a conversation piece. If you're concerned about it buy a short screw-in replacement antenna and no one will notice. I replaced the larger antenna on my wife's Mini with a smaller one and can't tell any difference in reception.

I've got the factory cell phone. In carbon fiber, nonetheless. I removed moat of the parts, but saved them for posterity.
I put a phone mount where the handset cradle bump is in the interior and added a small painted cap on the antenna base to hide the threaded brass for the whip. It's kinda like the BMW shark fin. No one has ever mentioned it.

weird? Yeah, but a none issue. That color is too cool to pass up if the antenna is the only concern.
If that second pic is the car in question. You can use some Solution Finish to bring that greying plastic back to black. Mostly a one time application depending on exposer.
