Default resale PLUS or MINUS

Would please like opinions on resale PLUS or MINUS for the factory “Rod Antenna” option #461. It unscrews down to a nub as shown in 2nd pic; screw hole easily plugged. Assuming the car checks other boxes is this a non-issue? Doesn’t bother me but I tend to move on pretty quickly don’t want a white elephant option code. Thoughts?? Thx

I don't think that's going to stop anyone buying the car.

Yeah being a (uber rare) factory option I was leaning towards this not being a ding, and possibly even a plus for the increased radio reception, if that’s a desire obviously thanks

Never knew that was even an option.. My bet is the person who bought the car originally had a pet-peeve about AM or FM radio reception and ticked the box on the configurator so that their new car could get the Dave Ramsey show (or whatever flavor of AM radio broadcast) in crystal clear sound..

Same here, never knew that was an option. Totally agree with it not effecting the cars value.
Cheers, Mike

Never knew this option existed until now. Neither positive or negative feelings about but clearly a conversation piece. If you're concerned about it buy a short screw-in replacement antenna and no one will notice. I replaced the larger antenna on my wife's Mini with a smaller one and can't tell any difference in reception.

Somebody, most people, would pop on your car because of the color, and not even notice the antenna, much less realize it as an odd-rarity. Don't give it any concern.

I've got the factory cell phone. In carbon fiber, nonetheless. I removed moat of the parts, but saved them for posterity.

I put a phone mount where the handset cradle bump is in the interior and added a small painted cap on the antenna base to hide the threaded brass for the whip. It's kinda like the BMW shark fin. No one has ever mentioned it.

Huh, never even knew that was an option! I don't think it's a detractor. Indifferent to it. I know some people don't like rear wipers, but they make aftermarket plugs for those too.

weird? Yeah, but a none issue. That color is too cool to pass up if the antenna is the only concern.

If that second pic is the car in question. You can use some Solution Finish to bring that greying plastic back to black. Mostly a one time application depending on exposer.

I have it on mine if you look closely, pretty rare option, I swapped the longer antenna out for a OEM BMW/MINI short antenna.

This is kind of like asking if you'd pass on sleeping with Cindy Crawford because she has a prominent mole.
