Whatever you do, you need to secure the flywheel against rotation (both when you break them loose and when you put them back on). When I did the Audi, I did NOT get their tool, I rigged something up to keep it from rotating.

If you can't rig it, then get the tool.

Noted, and ordered it this morning from Pelican they seem to have the best price, with he RMS and coolant temp sensor.
I will rig a RMS pressing tool for the RMS, don't have $800 for Porsche tool.

Nice & shiny! You did a much better job cleaning up those housings for the coolant pipes than I did.

I am curious about springs vs. no springs. That normally means SMFW vs. DMFW. Did the flywheel change? They both "look" like Dual Mass flywheels, but I can't quite make out the part number on the old one. Only reason I ask is that normally, for a DMFW, you do not have springs on the friction disk. I wonder what the clutch felt like engaging?

The new one is also a DMFW, the new clutch disc has no springs.
Seems like the stock setup is springs on both.
Hopefully got everything listed here. Not the only one on RL with OCD.

Took a few tries to get the oil pressure up before installing the fuel pump fuses.
New starter sounds like a 3rd turbo.
took a few weeks longer than planed but happy at 5 weeks part time.
