Such is life. I didn't like the new ceramic dial ones and can't find any for sale anyway for MSRP.
My watch guy tells me my Sea-Dweller is about 3x what I paid for it due to condition and patina. He has a Newman Daytona - not "the" Newman Daytona - nevertheless, apparently they are worth half a million +.

I'm wearing a Polar M600 because my Dweller never reminded me to get off my butt and walk around.

It’s got the PCCB option. Would definitely check the wear and overall health of the vehicle.

Only a matter of time before they all come back down to reality, these prices don't last forever, just like 911R's don't sell for $500k forever.
Yeah its an awesome market to be in.

I had a "hulk" paid 8300 at an AD. I just dumped it for 12K used. I couldnt pass up making money on it.

Im in the market for something else just hard to find what I want. I refuse to pay the prices they want on the grey market

Ha...I am looking at my SeaDweller the same way, but I think this market has a bit more room to run. Rolex is just NOT providing units outside of the initial allotments that get gobbled up by "collectors" and clients who buy them simply to flip. I have been waiting for the Daytona to drop since 2017 and all it has done is run up another $8k.

I remember when the Daytona came out and they were $18k on the gray market and I thought they couldn’t go any higher. I was wrong.

The bubble will pop at some point but selling my hulk will get me into something with gold/rose gold for much less.

Also I refuse to have more then one watch at a time(no pun intended) not that I dont want too I just have to not get out of hand. lol

Its also about the hunt for me so I love it

My car is spookily similar to his and yours so I'd be interested to know, too. (He didn't respond to my PM after it sold, but he may have not even have read it thinking I was just a tire kicker wasting his time.)
I offered it to a buddy for what I paid for it 2 years ago, which is a little less than that guys ask on his. Obviously a fellow Marine will get first right of refusal if I do decide to sell one day, but just seeing the different price point for 09 Manual turbos. I have a little more in performance/suspension than him I think, but my car still gets compliments literally everywhere with how well it presents. I honestly wont even post it on Rennlist because although I do enjoy reading what members have to say here, I hear only horror stories about their experiences trying to sell a car.

If I did sell, it would be this fall/winter around 85k miles since I plan on taking some longer trips. I still have my Fidelity platinum care until 12/30/2020 or 103k miles so I may just ride it out till then, and then sell it at a discount haha. But by then, maybe there will be a Turbo bubble and the 997.1 will become the new 993?!?

A good source is telling me that the Daytona is being predominantly being purchased by “chicks”. I ain’t buying a girls watch. Sticking with 44mm size watches. Passing on the 40-41 mm “chick” watches.

$21-25k for a watch that’s probably not worth it? $12500 kinda nice to have one. Anything north is just a waste of money and a huge gamble when the bubble pops. Just like the new C8, ain’t getting on anyone’s fake list. Like Boz Skaggs says,”Put your money on the table and drive it off the lot”.
