Default Clutch smell from tiptronic?

I made a quick start at the redlights with my 997 TT Tiptronic and then it smelled burnt clutch.. I didnīt hold brake and throttle to build boost, just stepped full throttle when green came on. Like u do sometimes
How bad is this? I thought the tiptronic was fairly strong and could withstand a tune. Mine has exhaust, intercoolers and a tune done just a few weeks ago. Is the clutchplates gone or should I just change gearbox-oil? The car has 37,000miles.

Never heard of this happening. I'd do a fluid change as a start (and did on mine a while after tuning), probably worth it regardless.

Me neither, tried to google it but didnīt find anything… the gearbox is enclosed unlike a manual so it shouldnīt smell..or? If Iīm lucky maybe it was another car… but there was no one in front of me (of course)

Was your traction control flashing? Wheel spin is limited with rear brake engagement

Regardless >>age is creeping up on our cars. I'd change the fluid...

Had it once in the first 10K miles of ownership 11 years ago. Never since.

Someone else was driving. Uphill on the MT 212 Beartooth highway.

Suspect it was lugging the engine in automatic.

Soon as I took over, in manual and Sport mode, smell went away.

Could be! Didnīt have time to reflect over the tractioncontrol-lamp but pretty sure I had wheelspin.. think I could tell the difference from brakes and clutch-smell, but now when you say brakes it can surely be that

The oilchange-procedure isnīt quite that easy I guess?
