Default My new CF Hood

What do you guys think? These pictures don't do it justice...since installing it I have noticed a Huge increase in rubberneckers and people now walk up whenever I stop somewhere...it is crazy. I personally really like the look.

Yeah my 20 year old Engineering College Son told me I need to get the other GT2 black bits...lol, after I just paid for the factory aerokit front spoiler and lower bits painted and installed along with silver HRE wheels...so yeah, that ain't happening. I do think I will do something with the Turbo inlets, still thinking on that, trying to keep her clean, classy and elegant, with just a splash of badass.

I think some of the bright colors like red or yellow take well to highlights of black. The flat texture also creates some interesting contrast. This is a lot of black but apparently works. Enjoy.

I kind of agree with your son! At least something out the back with black to offset the front being black. I had a 16v Scirocco back in the mid '80's that had black bits front and rear with VW's Tornado Red paint. Looked cool.

I was interested to see what it looked like from the driver's seat...first time it dawned on me I can't see any of the hood while driving....haha.

Yeah the Boy is almost always right, I learned a while back to just take what he says at face value. I will do some black CF for the Turbo inlets but still have had my heart set on an aerokit rear spoiler/wing, perhaps I will rethink that now that I like the black CF hood so much.

I think many would agree it's a slippery slope from here, never say never.

That is one thing I like about the Porsche enthusiasts...as long as you keep your mods well done and don't get into the big body modifications it is generally well received and applauded. Makes the ownership experience fun.

Is that a real CF hood or a wrap?

looks nice! do agree with more black accent - some of the 991 turbos did the roof in gloss black, might try wrapping it.

Looks really good! I'm thinking having this done to mine but more of a wrap option. What do you think?

Like very much.

Wonder which handles road rash better, the raw CF or the lacquered. Probably answered my question.

So Terry, looking at your signature it looks like you are getting close to that time when you swap into a new Porsche. What’s next on your list?
